This issue of the “Liberate Cyprus” publication by the Union of Cypriots focuses on the theme of “Free West Asia and North Africa, End Imperialism.”
It addresses the importance of preserving the territorial integrity of the unitary Cyprus and upholding the sovereignty of the Cypriot people in their struggle against imperialism. In each issue of the publication, the island of Cyprus, which is used as a hub of imperialism in the Eastern Mediterranean by the five NATO armies, is evaluated in the light of different topics, emphasizing its vital role in the freedom of the peoples of the Middle East.
LIBERATE CYPRUS:
Echoes of Unity, Liberty & Solidarity (2024)
This issue of the “Liberate Cyprus” publication by the Union of Cypriots focuses on the theme of “Echoes of Unity, Liberty & Solidarity.”
It features a collection of artworks symbolizing the unity of Cypriots, the liberation of Cyprus, and international solidarity in peoples’ struggles worldwide. Accompanied by commentary in Greek, Turkish, and English, these works were selected from the campaign posters of the Union of Cypriots. Together, they provide a chronological history of the movement’s efforts, making this edition of Liberate Cyprus truly unique.
Palestine and Cyprus: A Story of Peoples’ Fraternity (March 2023)
The contribution of the Union of Cypriots to the Palestinian Liberation Struggle journal is titled “Palestine and Cyprus: A Story of Peoples’ Fraternity.”
This journal was published on the occasion of Palestine Land Day on March 30, 2023. It features brief statements from various ICOR member organizations on the Palestine question, along with guest contributions from organizations outside ICOR. The journal aims to deepen and advance the discussion on the Palestinian struggle for liberation and justice.
Cyprus and Palestine: Lessons in Negotiation and Struggle (May 2025)
The contribution of the Union of Cypriots to the Palestine Magazine journal is titled “Cyprus and Palestine: Lessons in Negotiation and Struggle.”
As a continuation of the first journal on Palestine, this edition aims to deepen the analysis and discussion of the Palestinian liberation struggle, especially in the wake of the Al-Aqsa Flood actions on October 7, 2023. Published on the occasion of Nakba Day on May 15, 2025, it features contributions from various ICOR member organizations, as well as pieces from organizations outside ICOR, presenting their revolutionary perspectives on the Palestine question and highlighting the broader dimensions of the Palestinian struggle for liberation.
National Liberation Against Imperialism: “Ruin or Revolution is the Watchword” (November 2024)
The Union of Cypriots’ contribution to the international theoretical conference on National Liberation from Imperialism is titled “National Liberation Against Imperialism: ‘Ruin or Revolution is the Watchword.’”
The conference brought together 57 political parties, national liberation movements, and anti-imperialist organizations from 19 countries to focus on the national question, exploring various approaches to asserting and exercising the right to national self-determination, both armed and unarmed, within the framework of national liberation movements.
Resisting the Hidden Machinery of Neocolonial Domination (May 2025)
The Union of Cypriots’ contribution to the international theoretical conference on Comprador and Bureaucrat Capitalism in the Neocolonies is titled “Resisting the Hidden Machinery of Neocolonial Domination.”
The conference brought together 28 political parties, anti-imperialist formations, research organizations, and progressive people’s movements from 20 countries across five continents to explore the underlying foundations of bureaucrat and comprador capitalism, the strategies used by imperialist powers to maintain dominance, and the role of local classes as agents of economic exploitation and political subservience serving foreign interests.
